Located on the corner of Alma and 8th, Christianne’s Lyceum is a centre that celebrates literature and art, putting it at the centre of family and community life.

This summer, the Lyceum has planned camps that support children and youth as they engage in the process of creating, as they discover the joy of manipulating materials with their hands, as they experience the thrill of watching words pile up on a blank sheet of paper and above all, as they transform material to leave traces for others to decode.

Ranging for adventurers from the ages of 3 to 18, our camps will run from the week of June 24th to that of August 26th. Each week the campers embark on an enchanting journey to express themselves through literature and art. Every camp is inspired by a unique literary work. Supported by high quality materials, the campers explore aspects of this piece of literature in an engaging environment. The Lyceum’s camps pride themselves on their distinctive flexibility to honour each child’s individual learning pace.

Camps you simply cannot afford to miss this year include Tom’s Midnight Garden, Sweets for My Sweet, Sugar for My Honey and Salve for My Lips, Faerie Designers Ramped Up, and Essays, But Fun to name a few. The Lyceum also invites the brave rebels of District 12 to a Hunger Games Sleepover in August.

Planning a staycation this year? Let the Lyceum take you on a journey far away from screens to reconnect with your teens.

Parents come free to this year’s new addition to the Lyceum’s Summer Camps – Family Camps including Cuppa and Crafts, Making Memories with Tile and Family Games & Geocaching. With premium materials, the campers create mosaic tiles, raspberry mousse and above all, memories. Why leave Vancouver, when on the corner of Alma and 8th an unforgettable journey awaits.

Each summer camp is a unique experience with one thing in common – the Lyceum’s spirit to nourish the writer, artist and thinker each child has in them.
