The Vancouver Maritime Museum is kicking off a year of celebrating 60 years of sharing maritime culture, with a free family-friendly event on Saturday, June 8th.

The Museum doors open to the public at 10am with admission by donation, kicking off a full day of ceremonies, musical performances, and food trucks.

Music performances include Tiller’s Folly, Henry Hudson Elementary Children’s Choir, and the Red Fox Drummers. Kids will also love children’s ventriloquist, Kellie Haines.

Lunch-time food truck service includes Flying Fish & Chipper, Moms Grilled Cheese, Slavic Rolls, and Bicycle Bearista.

The event continues into the evening with a beer garden on the Museum terrace with food trucks from Tacofino and Chickpea.
