NYC-headquartered eyewear retailer Warby Parker has chosen Kitsilano for its first location in Vancouver.

The new Warby Parker will be located at 2290 West 4th Avenue, directly across the street from Whole Food Market.

The Kitsilano location is similar to where Warby Parker opened its first Canadian store in Toronto in 2016, trendy Queen Street West.

Warby Parker began operating online exclusively in 2010 and opened its first store in 2013.

Each Warby Parker store focuses on a unique experience, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with for Kits.

According to Retail Insider, the West 4th store’s design will be reminiscent of a library and Warby Parker co-founder Dave Gilboa selected the location because he loved the feel of Kits and thought the building could lend itself to a unique design.

In Miami, a Warby Parker store is designed to look like you’re inside a pool. It is equipped with an overhead camera that allows the customer take photos and to try on the merchandise while it simulates the appearance of lounging at a pool.
