The Vancouver Maritime Museum is hosting the Northwest Passage Hall of Fame Awards on Friday, October 18th.

The festive evening includes The Northwest Passage Hall of Fame award ceremony, the unveiling of the exhibition Lessons from the Arctic: How Roald Amundsen won the race to the South Pole, delicious food, a cash bar, live entertainment and music, plus a silent auction with great prizes.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum established the Northwest Passage Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony to celebrate and commemorate the men, women, vessels and expeditions that have entered the Canadian Arctic over time to pass through the Northwest Passage. During the evening nominees for various categories will be awarded.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum is home of the RCMP vessel St. Roch. The St. Roch was the first vessel in history to sail from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean via the Northwest Passage (NWP, 1940-1942), and the first vessel to sail the more northerly, deep water Northwest Passage route and the first vessel to circumnavigate North America (1950).

Tickets are $75 per person and available online.
