On Sunday, September 16th Kitsilano will be host to a Culinary Garage Sale.

This unique foodie fundraiser is a culinary marketplace like no other.

Held under tents from 11am to 2pm in the parking lot of the Lazy Gourmet catering company (1605 West 5th Avenue), the garage sale will feature new, used and chef donated baking supplies, culinary school supplies, kitchen equipment, and kitchen tools for home and professional kitchens.

You’ll also uncover hard-to-find collectibles, new, used, signed and limited-edition cookbooks and culinary magazines from the collections of some of Canada’s finest chefs and much more!

This year organizers were thrilled to accept a large and generous donation from the estate of chef James Barber, an eclectic collection of his tools of the trade and books that includes 3 of his knife kits, and a collection of stunning copper pots, as well as the inventory from Chef Bruno Marti’s iconic La Belle Auberge.

The garage sale also features a donation from Dame Nicky Major (Major the Gourmet) of vintage and collectable Martha Sturdy showpieces and platters and a 1945 edition of Gourmet Magazine.

This year’s sale also includes two pristine large circular EVO professional outdoor grills valued at $3,800.

Gates open at 11:00am sharp and no early birds!
