It’s spot prawn season again. Oh how we love those big, sweet, firm crustaceans.

The time to celebrate this local and sustainable bounty, which happens to be the envy of seafood lovers around the world, is this weekend at the annual Spot Prawn Festival.

Each year at the Spot Prawn Festival Boil, Chefs’ Table Society member chefs from across the Lower Mainland serve you fresh-from-the-boat spot prawns at Fisherman’s Wharf at 1505 West 1st Avenue.

This year, the Chefs’ Table Society’s Spot Prawn Festival has reinvented itself, and you now have THREE ways to enjoy it:

  • FREE – access to the docks, view cooking demos and more
  • $10 – Spot Prawn Chowder – to go if you want
  • $60 – Spot Prawn Brunch – grazing style with a tasting menu of 6 delicious spot prawn dishes

While the festival is on Saturday, May 12th. Tickets are available online.
