The Kitsilano Farmers Market opened yesterday and is open for the season.

Opening Sunday, May 6th and running weekly until October 21st, the Kits Farmers Market fills the Kits Community Centre parking lot with organic (and conventional) produce, meat, cheese, seafood and plants as well as tasty baked goods, beautiful crafts and musical entertainment by local musicians.

The Market is excited to welcome Whistler-based Rising Knead Bakery to the roster this season, who work with 100% organic flour and long fermentation methods that result in low gluten breads.

And make sure to check out Doan’s Brewing Co., who craft a selection of ales such as kolsch and rye stout, and Rocky Creek Winery from Cowichan Bay, who produce a range of reds and whites, including pinot noir and gris, and seasonally-inspired dessert wines.

Kids can enjoy the playground and splash park nearby and parents will find the best selection of organic produce around. Hot coffee and hot food available on site each week.
