Grounds for Coffee will turn 25 on Thursday, May 10th.

This local Vancouver gem was at the forefront of Vancouver’s early coffee scene and has made its mark in the community with the world’s best cinnamon buns.

In 1992, President and Founder, Dan Hilton, decided to make a 180-degree turn in his career: from banking to baking. He started Grounds for Coffee in 1993, as Vancouver’s coffee culture was beginning to pick up steam, and settled in to the business of developing a knock-out cinnamon bun recipe from scratch.

This past year, Grounds for Coffee has released unique buns available at select times throughout the year, with flavors including cherry blossom, apple pie, maple syrup, caramel, pumpkin and eggnog. These have quickly grown in popularity and have inspired new and innovative ideas for 2018.

To celebrate this milestone event, Grounds for Coffee will be hosting a 25th Birthday celebration on Thursday, May 10th. The cafe will be bustling with excitement with giveaways, BOGO single buns, a selfie station and the one-of-a-kind Birthday Bun, only available on this day. Birthday Buns will be available as single buns, 4-packs and the classic 6-pack.
