Here’s what’s on in Kitsilano this long weekend. Get ready to indulge in various forms of Easter treats.

Friday, March 30th

It’s Good Friday and what better way to celebrate than going out for a special Easter High Tea at Neverland Tea Salon on West Broadway. Their new, Easter-dedicated menu will include a selection of savoury and sweet delicacies, pots of the best teas, plus an amuse bouche and a surprise take-home treat. The menu can include vegan, vegetarian, gluten, and dairy-free dietary needs, and there’s a children’s menu, too. If you don’t make it today, this Easter High Tea is on until Monday, April 2nd.

Saturday, March 31st

For families with little kids, the Easter celebration at the Kitsilano Community Centre will be a sure hit. Events will include crafts, games, face painting, cookie decorating, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Parent participation is required but tickets are only needed for kids and are $6 each (infants under 12 months are free). From 11am till 1pm in the gym. Purchase tickets ahead of time as they usually end up selling out.

Make reservations at The Oakwood tonight to enjoy their newly refreshed menu, thanks to new Chef Michael Love. Dinner menu additions include a Roasted Kabocha Squash, a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, a Cache Creek Eye of Round Tartare, and a Pan-seared Lingcod. Or go for brunch and try the new Cinnamon Bun French Toast and the Roasted Mushroom and Lemon Ricotta Omelette.

Sunday, April 1st

It’s Easter Sunday today. Celebrate by visiting Cartems Donuts on West Broadway and pick up some tropical-inspired donuts including the Pina Colada, the Orange Guava, and the Tropical Pom (this one is stuffed with pomegranate whipping cream, yum yum).
