Easter is this weekend, and here in our Kitsilano neighbourhood we have plenty of choices as to where to pick up delicious chocolate treats for the occasion. Here’s our list of the best selection.

As one of our favourite chocolatiers, Thomas Haas never disappoints when it comes to speciality treats, especially when it comes to chocolate. Signature Easter creations for this year include Easter chocolate truffle-filled boxes, traditional chocolate bunnies in dark, milk or white chocolate, ducks, chicks, chocolate lollipops, surprise eggs, and an Easter stollen made with pistachios and cherries.

Koko Monk Chocolates

The ever-creative Koko Monk Chocolates shop is in on the holiday this year with unique chocolate Easter bunnies, giant chocolate eggs, and organic and vegan chocolate hens. And there are always the gorgeous assorted chocolates to choose from as well.

Purdy’s

For some nostalgia, Purdy’s is a classic choice for Easter treats. This year’s line-up includes pretty chocolate-filled tin gift boxes, various gift baskets that can include a cuddly soft plush bunny, plus the usual and delightful mini peanut butter eggs, truffle eggs, caramel eggs, yolk eggs, crispy eggs, and fudge eggs. There are also colourful jelly beans, chocolate marshmallow eggs, and the ultimate favourite – hedgehogs, to add to the mix.

Daniel Le Chocolat Belge

Daniel’s little praline eggs are the best and come in dark, milk, and white chocolate. They also excel in marshmallow eggs, peanut butter eggs (and bunnies), and sea salt caramel eggs. Also fun are the dark and milk chocolate dinosaurs, mini bars, and the chocolate lollipops.

Chocolate Arts

Forever in our Kitsilano hearts, Chocolate Arts has come up with some adorable Bunny Butts, Chubby Bunnies, and Vegan Eggn dairy free chocolate eggs that are filled with hazelnuts, coconut flakes, and lemon jelly. Their take on Peeps, called Cheeps, are terrific also and are made with handmade passion fruit marshmallow.
