Eat & Drink

Wednesdays are Trivia Nights at The Coppertank Grill on West Broadway, starting at 7:45pm. Your team can have a maximum of 8 people so pick your friends wisely. Enjoy specials on wings, pizza, cider, and wine, too.

The 8th Annual Hot Chocolate Festival returns on January 20th and lasts until February 14th. You can bet some of your favourite chocolate shops in Kits will take part, so stay tuned for more details on this delicious and free festival.

Sports

Try catching your dinner off of the Jericho Beach Pier, just in front of the Jericho Sailing Centre. You may be lucky enough to hook a perch, sole, or dogfish, or try catching crabs. You’ll need a Tidal Waters Fishing License which is a mere $5.51 for the day (or free for 15-year-olds and under). If you didn’t manage to catch anything edible, just head on over to the Galley Patio & Grill which reopens on January 20th. They serve awesome nachos, burgers, and seafood dishes with the best view in town.

For cabin-fevered little ones and their caregivers, the Parent and Tot Gym at the Kitsilano Community Centre offers a great place to expend some energy. Aimed for kids aged 0 to 5, the drop-in cost is $3 per child. You can also purchase a 10-visit pass for $27. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am till 12pm, and Saturdays from 10:30am till 11:30am.

The KCC also has Winter Adult Programs that include drop in yoga, cardio classes, zumba, pilates, pickleball, dance, tai chi, and more, with rates from about $5-$15 per class.
