Displace Hashery is now The Blenheim.

Restaurateur Uwe Boll of award-winning Bauhaus Restaurant, British Columbia’s highest-ranking fine dining restaurant, has taken over the storied restaurant space at West 4th & Blenheim.

Displace Hashery’s site now includes a message from Boll

I live only 2 blocks away from Displace, and I went there from time to time to watch UFC, boxing, and other sports. I have always liked the atmosphere and the location a lot. Recently, I got the opportunity to buy it and in the next few months you will see that the crew stays the same and we will change only a few things: the name will change to The Blenheim, the bathrooms and patio will be updated, and some changes to the menu.

Boll goes in to say that he loves a good burger and a great pizza and that’s what he has planned for the The Blenheim.

Note: The Blenhiem is hosting an Orphan Family Christmas Eve Dinner on December 24th with Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and gravy along with your choice of craft tap beer for just $25.

Um, Bauhaus is a fine restaurant. But “British Columbia’s highest-ranking fine dining restaurant”? I you are going to use that phase you had better name the source.,

  2. Sean says:

The food is awful and the owners are worse

  3. Bruce says:

I have not heard one good thing about the Blenheim since it changed from Displace. Went there to see for myself – it was terrible. highly do not recommend. It is now overpriced, pretentious and has no sense of warmth to it. Am very sad to say that I will not be returning as we have been going there for years. Way to ruin a good thing guys.

  4. Ingrid says:

The orphans christmas dinner was cancelled last minute (without notifying anyone mind you) with very little apology from the owners. Not a good start.

  5. Sarah Jean says:

“in the next few months you will see that the crew stays the same and we will change only a few things:” This is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard. All of the long standing staff were fired almost immediately after they spent a week helping them with renos- during christmas time for that matter! I hope you enjoy karma. The staff made that place what it was.

  6. Sonya says:

We went there to try it out and the prices went up and the burger was soggy at the bottom maybe due to too much sauce they put on. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly.

  7. Aimee says:

Once my go to is no longer my go to.

Firing staff and posting a video selfie on Instagram defaming Displace doesn’t really create a space of community, does it?

    No thank you.
