November may seem dreary and grey, but the festivities are amped-up this time of year and you’ll find plenty of fun stuff happening during this month. Here’s our list of some free and almost free great family-friendly events that take place in and around our Kitsilano neighbourhood.

Trains and Toys

For railfans young and not so young, the Vancouver Train Expo 2017 is making tracks at the PNE on November 11th and 12th. Over 60 exhibitors will be showcasing miniature trains, railroads, and landscapes. This will be a hands-on experience with a children’s train play area, Lego displays, a mini-rail train ride, and a marketplace. Tickets for adults are $8 and children under 8 are free.

The Kitsilano Community Centre is hosting the Family Toy and Clothing Sale on November 12th from 10am to 1pm. Here you’ll find tons of bargains on almost new children’s clothes and toys. Admission is free.

Movie Time

Watch family-friendly movies for $2.99 at the Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas in Downtown Vancouver on West Pender for their Cineplex Family Favourites morning, each Saturday starting at 11am. Upcoming November movies are Masha and the Bear, Wonder Woman, and Home Alone.
