The busy summer of road work and special events is nearing an end. But not quite yet.

The City of Vancouver is warning Vancouverites to plan ahead for traffic delays over the Labour Day weekend thanks to the Burrard Street Corridor Project.

City crews will be paving on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Saturday, September 2 – Sunday, September 3:

  • 2am to 8am: full closure of the Burrard and Pacific Intersection, Pacific from Thurlow to Hornby, and Burrard Bridge.
  • 8am to 2pm: followed by a northbound closure along Burrard Street from Cornwall to Drake.

Monday, September 4:

  • 7am to 2pm: full road closure of Pacific Street from Burrard to Thurlow.

The City of Vancouver is encouraging motorists to use the Granville Bridge as an alternative to Burrard Bridge and to follow directions on changeable message boards and public signage. Local access for residents will be maintained.
