Yesterday the City of Vancouver claimed to be prepared for today’s snowfall with crews salting and brining major routes before any snow touched the ground.

With as much as 15 centimetres of snow forecast to hit Vancouver by Saturday, the mayor of Vancouver promised that crews would be out in full force.

Unfortunately BC Transit started experiencing headaches this morning as soon as snow started sticking to the roads.

According to CTV’s Sheila Scott, the city is a mess with the 99B-Line that crosses West Broadway, connecting the Commercial Drive SkyTrain station to UBC, experiencing delays.

Riders reported that buses were sliding and skidding on West Broadway near MacDonald Street.
