Christmas comes this weekend for Orthodox Christians and Eastern Catholics living around the world.

So if you’re not ready to box up your decorations and chip your tree, check out the family-friendly annual Russian Christmas Festival that is taking place on Sunday, January 8, from 12-6pm, at the Russian Theatre located at 2114 West 4th.

The festival will include an appearance by Father Frost, who’s often joined by a snow maiden who goes by the name of Snegurochka.

It’s a great opportunity to enjoy festive Russian cuisine and learn more about their cultural traditions. There will be a Russian Christmas Market, food, live music, dancing and other entertainment for the whole family.
