Kits has loads of fun spots for easy weeknight drinks and entertainment. In fact, most of them host daily events with drink specials, featuring live music and all sorts of tournaments.

We checked out a few of the more popular venues to scope out what’s happening in Kits this summer, so that you know which bar to hit up, when you’re in the mood for a casual night on the town.

Bar Events and Daily Specials in Kitsilano

Sunday – Open Mic at Darby’s

Their kitchen is open until midnight with delicious salads and burgers, and they have a stream of talented regulars who sing every week to the welcoming crowd. A 20 oz. Red Racer IPA is $5.50. Double caesers are $6.95. The Naam is half a block away for when you’re done.

Wednesday – Trivia Night at Copper Tank

So many trivia nights, we couldn’t pick just one! Copper Tank has been hosting theirs for years, and if we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times: try their Long Island Iced Tea. It’s a special hump day treat. Specials on Kronenbourg blanc, Somersby cider and wings.

Thursday – Karaoke at Displace

Karaoke is happening almost every night in Kitsilano at almost every bar. Check out Biminis on Tuesday and Darby’s on Wednesday as well, but if you can only catch one then make sure its Displace on Thursday. There’s $4 craft beer and $2 tacos.

Friday – Dancing at Bimini

For the downtown vibe without crossing the bridge, there’s really only one place to go in Kitsilano. DJs, highball specials, dance floors, and the rest make for a messy line up down West 4th every Friday night.

Saturday – Live Music at The King’s Head

A number of spots in the neighbourhood boast live music throughout the week (a special shout out to Wolf & Hound and Copper Tank for their in house bands that never fail to impress) but The King’s Head is hands down our favourite when it comes to live entertainment. On Saturday, highballs are $4.50 and Okanagan Spring pitchers are $14.
