This is not an April Fools. Changes to BC liquor laws went into effect today. Here’s what you need to know about the new BC liquor laws, including which BC Liquor stores in Kitsilano have new hours.

1. BC Liquor stores will be open Sunday, have longer hours and be open on holidays.
You can wait until the last minute to buy wine for Sunday dinner.  The Vancouver Sun reported: On Good Friday [April 3], about 120 of the province’s public liquor stores will be open on a statutory holiday for the first time. Other changes are being introduced this week: Shopping hours have been extended, more than 130 stores will now open on Sundays. Here’s a full list of stores with new hours. And a screen grab below.

2. Grocery stores selling wine is a pipe dream
There’s a ton of red tape involved. No one is doing it yet. When they do sell wine, it can only be B.C. wine. Boo.
