Uninspired by Cupid’s Pinterest board? We can help with edible Valentine’s Day ideas in Kitsilano. Many Kitsilano restaurants are offering set menus on Valentine’s Day and still have spots available. Kitsilano chocolatiers have done their thing and come up with all sorts of sweet, sugary, red and romantic confections.

As Shaw said, “There is no love more sincere than the love of food.” Check out our roundup of edible Kitsilano Valentine’s Day ideas below.

Beaucoup Bakery is offering a tempting Valentine’s Day chocolate sour cherry cake. Individual cakes are $6. Six inch cakes are $35.

Chocolate Arts, arguably the best chocolatier in Vancouver, has no shortage of treats. Our favourite is the strawberry & champagne seduction: house-made strawberry jelly layered with champagne ganache, enrobed in dark chocolate.

Fancy pants chocolatier Thomas Haas has his usual roundup of signature hat gift boxes starting at $44.

Fable is offering diners a ‘His & Hers’ four course menu, that includes aphrodisiacs such as oysters.  There are still reservation spots left for 5:30pm for a 1.5hour dining time and 9pm and later. It’s $50 per head. Email food@fablekitchen.ca to grab a spot.

Nothing says classic amour like dinner for two at a French bistro. Bistro Pastis is running a five-course Valentine’s Day menu for $85 a head. It’s an additional $42 for the wine pairing. Of note: the lobster napoleon.

Oakwood Canadian Bistro is offering a modern take on romance with four courses for $130 per couple. Expect lobster (with truffles!) and wagyu beef, with a truly decadent (and complicated) finish that deserves its own blog post. Chef Robbins is definitely a serious contender for Top Chef Canada.

Finally, the August Jack is doing a budget-friendly special: two glasses of champagne and oyster Rockefeller for $19.99.
