Pulpfiction Books moves to larger location on West Broadway

1970

Hey bookworms: Pulpfiction Books, formerly located at 3133 West Broadway has moved to more spacious digs at 2754 West Broadway (at MacDonald). Although I have an eReader, I usually window shop Pulpfiction’s selection on my way to Young Brothers, and ultimately, buy a paperback or two when the VPL hold waiting list is formidably long. Pulp goes for a strong selection of contemporary fiction as opposed to heaps of Grisham. Now, Pulpfiction is more accessible than ever. Avid readers can browse Pulpfiction’s wares while waiting for the 9/99B line  or visiting Safeway.

Established in June 2000, Pulpfiction Books is Vancouver’s largest independent bookstore, with over 80,000 titles in three  locations (Main, Commercial and Kits).  Pulp is regularly voted “Vancouver’s best used bookstore” by The Straight, West Ender, and Vancouver Magazine readers. The store has been profiled by Time Out, The Vancouver Sun and BC Business.

Pulp buys back (quality) used books every day they’re open.  If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they’ll also order any book in print at a discount, (typically 30% off cover price) and won’t charge you for shipping.

A decent collection of books but the sneering staff put me off the place permanently-who wants to deal with those misfits?
