  1. When you try to view the Public Presentation PDF on their website, browser crashes. They don’t want anyone to view it.

Erm, http://www.boathouserestaurants.ca/assets/pdfs/Public_Presentation_2012-02-16_rev%204_small2.pdf works OK for me. Seems like there’ll be some extra parking issues. And I have my doubts about the claim that there’ll be no umbrellas, but other than that, am I naive to think there’s no grounds for objection?

I think it’s a great idea…I just find it hilarious how lame this city is though. The Boathouse is pretty much on their knees begging for this one (“6 foot sound barrier glass, parties of 2-4, no music, no bar etc etc”)…I guarantee some idiot will fight against this. I wish people in Vancouver would just lighten up and let something fun happen. It’s too bad that even if this does go through, it won’t be what it could have been!

Speaking of lame it’s difficult to think of a lamer place to eat/drink than the Boathouse-it’s sucked to be them since forever.
