I had a mild panic attack today when I realized that I am out of ‘Read My Lips’ – an amazing chocolate peppermint herbal tea from Davids Tea and one of the store’s top three sellers.
Davids Tea, formerly located by the now vacant Le Chateau space at 4th/Yew, is currently closed while renovations for a new space across the street are underway. Their new home was recently a Kits shoe store. With all these empty storefronts, I’m just glad Davids is staying in the neighbourhood.
Anyone who has been in Davids lately knows that a little more space is desperately needed. The store has developed somewhat of a cult like following and is almost always packed with people smelling, tasting and sipping tea. The new store is expected to open later this month.
