From Farm to Forks, the second annual fundraiser for Growing Chefs, is happening October 23, in the kitchens of Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts on Granville Island. The proceeds from the event support urban farming and initiatives and help to spread the word about food sustainability.
Guests at the event can wander from kitchen to kitchen and watch the chefs in action as they enjoy tasting plates, canapés, and cocktails from various top Vancouver restaurants, including Kitsilano’s Bishop’s, Maenam and Refuel. Each restaurant chef will be paired with a local B.C. grower and producer, guaranteeing a night of fresh, delicious and local cuisine.
Tickets are $150 with all proceeds going to Growing Chefs, a Vancouver non-profit whose goals is to support and encourage the development and growth of urban agriculture and food sustainability.
