Everything you need to know about Khatsahlano!

2039

The highly anticipated Khatsahlano! is only three days away. This Saturday, West 4th Avenue between Burrard & MacDonald will close from 11am to 6pm for the street party.

According to the Facebook event page, 3,554 people, including me, have RSVPed a resounding “Yes.” 1,118 are considering attending. In short, it’s going to be a blast.

This uber exciting West 4th Music + Art Festival replaces the Hippie Daze of yore, taking into account all Kits residents from ex-hippies to hipster students and families.

The festival will feature five stages of free live music from Vancouver’s finest independent artists. Zulu Records curated the line-up, which ensures a quality playlist. There’s also a fashion show at 2:30 pm and the choreographed “Bust Out” at 2:50 pm, which we blogged about last week. Add to that, numerous sidewalk sales and the Biggest Yard Sale you’ve ever clapped eyes on.

If you haven’t RSVPed yet, get on it.
