The first thing Kitsilano businesses should do if the Xmas season really matters is to dress windows with quality decorations not just kindergarten style paper cutouts made by bored Staff.

Last year I sat upstairs in the 1900 block W4th and counted over 20 stores-three (3) had decorations-and one of those was a Dentist office (you know the one).

    Is that pathetic or what?

I suppose the Good News is that those horrible red fabric bows so many places had for so long are now worn out-mind you if that’s all the Good News Xmas is in deep trouble.

I think it’s a mark of how self absorbed so many people in this society are-they think they’re ‘In this world but not of this world’.
