We live in the best place on earth, so we are told. But how can we argue?

Now that the sun is starting to shine, our beloved neighbourhood is providing us with those glorious beach days that we dream about all year. And who can forget those winter months, when we are (usually) blessed with beautiful snow capped mountains and amazing ski conditions. Now that the weather is warming those beautiful snow capped mountains are melting. And what happens when all that snow melts? Whitewater Rafting season begins!

This summer I think every British Columbian should make it their goal to go out and experience the beauty our province has to offer.Β  And what better way to do this, then to go river rafting.

Nestled in the Nahatlatch valley, REO Rafting Resort offers some of the www.globosurfer.com/best-whitewater-kayaks available anywhere in the world. A 2.5 hour drive from the lower mainland, visitors to the resort can come up to raft for the day or spend multiple nights and experience the tranquility of our rivers edge accommodations.

In an effort to get more Vancouverites out and about in their province we’re giving away a daytrip up to REO Rafting Resort. This daytrip includes the rafting trip, all of your equipment, river snacks, and full use of the resort amenities.

To enter your name to win the REO Rafting Resort daytrip, simply comment on this blog post about your favorite BC outdoor activity before midnight on Friday, July 9th. The folks at REO will pick a winner from the entries and we’ll announce the winner here the following day.

After a tranquil canoeing experience, I’m ready for some fast action in the rapids and the excitement of whitewater rafting!
