I shopped at Scoop today & was not impressed with their ‘no refund’ policy. Unbeknownst to me at the time that this was a charity pop up store…

Two staff members told me I could not receive a refund on a purchase I had just made because:

    a) the cash register didn’t have a ‘refund’ function key
    b) no refunds were allowed, period.
    c) was told there were ‘no refund’ signs ALL OVER THE STORE, I looked and only found them at the check out. I told the lady this and she replied with “oh really, hmmm, sorry”.
    d) finally, “we are not authorized nor do we know how to do a refund!”

WOW! Are you kidding me!? I asked for the manager & as the lady proceeded to write down her phone number, I asked her to give her a call. She went to the back of the store & returned shortly with a ‘it turns out I can give you a refund as our ‘no refund policy’ isn’t stated on the receipts”… and guess what… I received my refund, the cash register had (it turns out) a ‘refund’ key! and the lady helping me knows how to do refunds! and she got ‘authorized’ to perform a refund!!!

Who knew? Crazy… won’t be returning!
