Vander Zalm brings HST Fight to Kitsilano

Former Socred premier Bill Vander Zalm kicks off his Fight HST campaign Tuesday night at Kitsilano Secondary School at 7:30pm in the heart of Liberal Premier Gordon Campbell’s Vancouver-Point Grey riding.

The campaign against B.C.’s harmonized sales tax needs to collect signatures from at least 10% of the voters registered as of April 6th in all 85 B.C. ridings – or more than 300,000 people – within 90 days.

If it succeeds, the petition’s call for an end to the HST would have to be put to a vote of the B.C. legislature or to a province-wide referendum.
