Restaurant to rise at 1809 West 1st Avenue again?

1627

Chowhound noted today that a new restaurant will soon be taking over the cursed 1809 West 1st Avenue address. A Craigslist ad is hiring three servers and a host/hostess for a “60 seat white tablecloth restaurant” –  Knowledge and passion for fine food & wine plus an understanding of sustainability and the local organic food movement an asset.

Most recently Monbella Bistoria gave it a shot in that space but it has been a number of other eateries over the past 15 years including Industry, Vintropolis, Sienna Tapas Bar & Grill, and Carpaccio’s.

Let’s hope this time the new proprietors can make a go of it.

Anyone know anything about this place yet? What’s it going to be?

Brian Fowke’s latest attempt. At those price points? He doesn’t give up, I’ll give him that. Unfortunately without a Bud Kanke bankrolling his endeavour, combined with his limited talent and a known suicide spot – well I wish him well.
