Kitsilano Home Sales continue to struggle

According to data logged to March 07, 2009,  Kitsilano detached homes sales for the past month continue to struggle.  As of this date, the year-over-year number of detached units sold dropped 75%.

New listings recorded for the month are down by 79% from 268 to 54.  The total number of listings is up by 33% at 685 compared to last year’s 514.  Average price drop year-over-year is 15%.  Almost 50% of the currently listed homes have reduced their prices as sellers reach down to find the price point that will inspire buyers to take action.   Ask/Sell average price variance, is approximately 6%.
