Help Chip Wilson pick a Theme Wave

Chip’s Not Dead Yet is offering a rare opportunity to Vancouverites: to become part of a little slice of the city’s history. The second annual Chip’s Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile is scheduled to take place on June 20, 2009, with all proceeds going to the BC Children’s Hospital.

The one-mile uphill race is run in themed waves. Last June, runners busted up West 10th dressed as rockstars, bridesmaids, in their underwear, and more. This time, Chip’s Not Dead Yet wants Vancouver to come up with its own idea for a theme wave and they’re holding a video contest—best theme wave idea wins.

Get a group of family or friends together, film your idea for a theme wave, and submit your video to www.cndy.ca before March 2nd, 2009. Participants are eligible to win $1000, or a monthly prize pack. And, come June, your idea could become a reality.

Founded by Chip Wilson, the Chip’s Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile is a family-oriented event and a major fundraiser for the BC Children’s Hospital. Registration opens in February 2009. In the meantime, submit your idea to win a great prize or vote on a wave theme.
