Bistrot Bistro Well Worth the Wait

1250

I finally had a chance to go to Bistrot Bistro last week and it was better than any of the glowing reviews I’ve mentioned here before.

It was a warm summer evening so they had the garage door storefront rolled open wide. The hum of West 4th was perfect background music for the banter of the packed restaurant. Bistrot is a very relaxed French bistro and the menu is drawn from the classic French country fare. Our Pork Tenderloin and Steak arrived in Le Creuset pans and we loaded up on side dishes – I recommend the Pommes Alumettes Mayo and Gratin Dauphinos. And be sure to follow their suggested wine pairings – they were bang on thanks to a wine preservation system that makes drinking by the glass risk-free. Nice work Valerie & Laurent!
