Are you interested in male genital hair removal?

Look left on this page and you should see an ad for "Male Genital Hair Removal" in the Google AdSense skyscraper ad on this page (I’ve pasted a sample of the ad on the right in case it has disappeared). Mikey and I have been plagued with this specifc ad since we put Google AdSense on our site a couple a weeks ago and we don’t understand. Google says:

Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website’s content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your site — or matched to the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts — you’ll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.

Do we really know this little about our readership? Are you all looking for ways to tidy up your nether regions? If so, hurry up and call Dermal Laser at 604-303-SKIN and book an appointment. If you’re really just interested in reading more about Kitsilano, stay tuned – you’ve found the right place. Thanks!

Here’s how to remove a specific ad from displaying on your page:

    Login to Adsense
Ad Settings -> Competitive Ad Filter

Also, you might want to edit your post – encouraging users to click the ads is (in Googles eyes) a serious TOS violation – and believe me, if they see if, they WILL close your account.

Will – Thanks for the tip – I’ve tried using Google’s competitive ad filter on other sites and it hasn’t been that effective.

Lee – You’re right, Google may not like my mild suggestion that visitors support us with their fingers and have make a couple revisions to the post.

All – This post goes to show you that stirring it up online tends to create traffic. This is the 1st post that has nothing to do with Kitsilano and our traffic quadruples. 🙂

It looks like you’ve lost these ads for good. Nice work!
