Vancouverites love a good detox and January is the month when detoxes are most in vogue.

For some or us, the idea of a juice-only cleanse makes a bleak winter month seem even bleaker. For others, internal cleansing is the cornerstone of good health.

If you fall into the latter category, here are a few winter detox options available in Kitsilano.

The Juice Truck Cleanse: The Juice Truck food truck offers three, five, and seven day cleanses and they deliver to your door. Their five-day cleanse is ideal for repeat-cleansers who work out regularly and eat a healthy diet. The cleanse starts by removing impurities that have built up in your colon. Once you’re all clear, the juice ingredients focus on stimulating and supporting all your cleansing mechanisms.

Krokodile Pear Cleanse: Lululemon staff flock to Kitsilano’s newest juice bar for a vibrant pick-me-up. Come cleanse time, Krokodile is offering one, three, five, and seven day cleanses across a product line that included a Juice X Soup cleanse. Krokodile uses organic ingredients and local suppliers for their cold-pressed juice, available on tap. Delivery is available for $9.95.

Wild Rose Herbal Detox: Available at Whole Foods Kitsilano, the Wild Rose Herbal Detox has been wildly popular in the cleanse crowd for decades. Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox Program is supposed to enhance all aspects of metabolism by supporting digestion and enhancing the elimination of toxins. You do get to eat while on the cleanse, as long as you stick to the list of acceptable foods–perhaps explaining the cleanse’s appeal.
