Living in Vancouver, we’re used to getting our fair share of rain.

While the lack of snow this season has been notable, this mild winter has been wetter than ever. Don’t let it put a damper on your day – Kitsilano is chock-full of fun indoor activities – and they’re not just for kids! Try these sure-fire ways to have fun, stay dry and avoid cabin fever!

1. Films at HR MacMillan Space Centre

While the planetarium star theatre still shows the educational films about the solar system that the centre is known for, they also show a variety of fun Hollywood movies – most recently screening “Star Trek: Into Darkness” on their big screen.

2. Skating at Kits Rink

The Kitsilano ice rink offers all ages family skate sessions, adults only hours and drop in hockey skill building. Getting out on the ice is a great way to get active on a rainy day!

3. Yoga workshops at Semperviva

Aside from having great daily yoga clases, Semperviva also offers special workshops – some of them at no cost. In February the workshops include a Valentine’s Day Dance Party, a free low back care workshop, and a Pranayama yoga session, among others.
