Kitsilano Neighbourhood House launches My Tween and Me program

Do you have tweens? My Tween and Me, a new program at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, might be the thing for you. It’s a program for parents who want to be better equipped to help their children (covers children between or near 7-12 years-old) through their awkward preteen phase.

This six session program starts Monday, January 30th from 9:30-11:30am and runs for six consecutive weeks. It will be held at Tapestry at Westbrook Village in UBC (3338 Westbrook Mall). All you need is a Kitsilano Neighbourhood House membership to join in ($10 family membership).

Building a strong relationship with your children during this time in their lives will help guide them through into and through the risk-taking teen years. Perhaps you want a chance to get socialize and meet other parents with ‘tween’s and talk about similar challenges you might encounter and how to overcome them. This is a great opportunity to do that too! Give it a shot…you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

If you have any questions or would like to register contact Nikki at nikki@kitshouse.org or call 604.736.3588. I look forward to hearing from you.
