Kitsilano Spa Owner wins PNE Prize Home

Kitsilano’s Cecilia Garcia is the new owner of the $1.2 million PNE prize home.

Garcia’s name was pulled from the barrel by Vancouver City Councillor Raymond Louie at 6:30pm last night and her name was announced by PNE president and CEO Micheal McDaniel. Garcia could not immediately be reached by the PNE, so a limousine was sent to pick her up at the address listed on her prize home ticket – the Aquarious Hair Studio at 2188 York Street.

According to the Vancouver Province newspaper, Garcia is a grandmother and a small business owner.

This year’s home, which will be relocated this fall to a lot in Kelowna’s Kirschner Mountain development, is a 3,000 square foot, craftsman-style house with all the trimmings, including views of Okanagan Lake. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a library, media room, wine cellar, laundry room, a covered porch, and comes with a built-in sound system and home electronics.
