The boy was approached by a man who tried to grab him. The boy ran and got help from a nearby resident.

The suspect is an overweight white man in his 60s, about five feet seven to five feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a white or grey long-sleeved shirt and white pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Vancouver Police Department Special Investigation Section at 604-717-3473.
