Until last month, the Kits farmers market had both the freshest and the cheapest organic produce. Now you have to trek over to WISE hall in East Van. It’s still worth it though, especially if you’re buying pricier items such as meat and fish.

Failing that, I’ll second megan’s vote for Tim’s on Broadway and MacDonald.

Tim’s Fresh Produce on Broadway and MacDonald definitely has the most consistent low price/fresh product value, and the friendliest staff.

Ha! Whenever I leave the area I try take a route that will get me near a Kin’s Market so I can take advantage of whatever they have on special! Yes, I will go to more than one store looking for a bargain.

When I have time I check out different food stores Yes, some are definitely overpriced.

I find the price spread between Apple Market on 4th and their sister store on Broadway to be quite interesting, check it out sometime.
