Then I was told there already were such events held for Shakespeare so I changed the name to "Scottish National BARD-B-Q. People weren't interested, mainly because it was to cold and wet in Scotland at that time of the year. I decided to change it to the summer and decided to ask Burns followers their preferred date for such an event. The date of his death and his funeral were the best bets: 21st & 25th of July.
