Westbeach closes, Showcase opens
The average motorist wouldn’t have noticed that change over but Westbeach on West 4th Avenue has been replaced in name by Showcase Snowboards.
Earlier this month, Whistler Blackcomb has announced the integration of the Westbeach retail stores under the banner of the Showcase Snowboards brand. According to Whistler Blackcomb officials, Showcase was the first snowboard shop in Whistler and is a strong brand that will benefit from combining two competing snowboard store brands.
Showcase will still feature live DJ’s, industry parties, and professional athletes, and will serve as Whistler Blackcomb’s connection to snowboard, surf and skateculture.
