Clothing Store Closures on West 4th
A couple of months ago I noticed some letters posted on the door of Orange County (2004 West 4th @ Maple). Legal letters. As in, we’re here to seize your stuff cause you didn’t pay the rent. The store now sits sadly empty and a for lease sign is posted.
And in the last week or so I have noticed a few sales going on along West 4th, two of which caught my attention:
- Jitterbug Fitwear (1820 West 4th @ Burrard) are having a moving sale, but it is unclear where they are moving to. I doubt it is the former Coast Mountain Sports location…
- Jolie Fashion (2065 West 4th @ Arbutus) has a sign in the window announcing a “Closing Out Sale”.
I can’t say I’ve ever gone into any of these stores, but it’s always sad to see them go.
[UPDATE November 1st:] It looks like it’s only Jolie Shoes that closed its doors. Jolie Fashion is still alive and well by the looks of it.
Got a few new comers also….mintage (from commercial dr) is opening another store on 4th…Puff replaced that hemp clothing store.
Yeah, I saw the Mintage awnings on the old Baby’s World store. The post is sitting in my drafts folder and I will get to it shortly. Thanks for the heads-up Jay!
