Pacific Rim Kite Festival at Vanier Park
Vanier Park hosts the Pacific Rim Kite Festival this weekend (June 14th and 15th) and multiple-kite world champion Ray Bethell will have home-field advantage. Anyone that has ever walked from Kits Beach to Granville Island during the summer has seen 70+ year old shirtless Ray weaving his magic in the sky. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate, so it will be a great way to spent a couple hours sprawled on the grass of Vanier Park.
