Catsilano

Cat_1_1In the past few days, I noticed something odd in the area around Carnarvon Street.  There is a strange confluence of missing cat posters, many of them offering substantial monetary rewards.  And… the plot thickens… there are several posters on the same street offering cash for the safe return of a missing camera.  Could there be a lens(wo)man with a fondness for felines and a underdeveloped moral compass on the prowl?  This seems like just the summer job for an aspiring pet detective.

  1. I don’t know if there’s mischief afoot (apaw?), but I suspect it has more to do with the growing number people who own digital cameras and printers.

The thing that haunts me is the posters never seem to come down. Which means that day after day after day I’m reminded that some parent is desperately trying to keep hope alive in their little kids’ hearts, while a cute little tabby named Gandalf is probably now located somewhere in the digestive system of a neighbourhood coyote.

Just to let people know, I live on west 6th avenue in Kits and my neighbour tells me that he has spotted 2 Coyote’s outside our block in the past 2 weeks very early in the morning. I personally think thats where the cats are going guys.
Spoke to someone at the dog beach today and was told that a jack russel dog was taken in Point grey recently by Coyote’s. Also a woman with a small dog walking in the woods near spanish banks was followed by 5 Coyote’s. The woman had a small dog, and despite picking up the dog they still followed.

DONT PANIC GUYS, THEY ARE MORE FRIGHTENED BY US, JUST WATCH YOUR SMALL DOGS AND CATS.
